Since the 70’s, we live in a world where shareholder capitalism has governed our societies, a society where “the social responsibility of Business is to increase its profit” as defined by the American economist Milton Friedman. Adults live, work everyday with this theory in mind. Our children, students are educated with this theory in mind. Can we afford to continue that way? All the medical, mental and behavior parameters are showing the opposite. We seem to have arrived at the end of a “dead” road.
Many people around the world discuss the need of a new kind of capitalism with shared responsibility. We speak again about “stakeholder capitalism” and “customer capitalism”…. ?
BUT ultimately, a system is made of PEOPLE! If we want the society to change, we have to begin to change OURSELVES first as human beings. More evolved human beings will make a more evolved system and society. And for this shift to happen, we need NEW TYPES OF LEADERS to show a new way of living and interacting in the society. Leaders who try to figure out how to become whole and make the world around them whole. This work begins at home, and goes from the kindergarten till the companies!
For this shift to happen, we need to transform Education and the way it is experienced:
